Japan Animator Expo has started streaming the 12th short film Evangelion: Another Impact.
The story is in another time and another place. An activation test of a decisive weapon was underway. With its development and operational trails shrouded in complete secrecy, the Another Number – Unit Null, suddenly breaks free of human control and goes berserk.
Aramaki Shinji directed the short, Takeuchi Atsushi designed Unit Null, and Matsumoto Masaru acted as the CGI director and composer.
Hakuto, a team competing for the Google Lunar X Prize, aims to send an unmanned lunar module in the “Project to Pierce the Moon with the Spear of Longinus.” Yup, that’s right. the project’s plan is to pierce the moon with a replica of the “Spear of Longinus” from Evangelion. The project celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Evangelion anime.
The first 2015 issue of Bungeishunjuu’s Weekly Bunshu magazine has revealed in an article about Utada Hikaru’s return to music that she will be returning to perform the theme for the final Evangelion movie which will be in theaters Fall/Winter 2015.
The article also revealed that Utada has one more album left on her contract with Universal Music Japan. The record label wants the Evangelion song to be the focus of the final album.
