Sankei announced today that Ozawa Mari’s Gin no Spoon will be getting a live action TV drama adaptation. The drama will star Takasugi Mahiro (Kamen Rider Gaim) as Ritsu and Tomita Yasuko as Ritsu’s mother, Kyouko. The drama will be titled Ashita mo Kitto, Oishii Gohan ~Gin no Spoon~.
The popular internet novel Shishou series posted on the internet forum site 2chan by author Uni has inspired a live action film, a TV drama series, and a TV anime. The live action film will be a hybrid of live action and anime.
Takasugi Mahiro will portray the project’s image character. He is best known for his role as Kureshima Mitsuzane / Kamen Rider Ryugen,
Shimizu Atsushi will be directing the series, Konaka Chiaki will be writing the scripts, Yoshimoto Kinji be directing the anime, Asano Naoyuki will be doing the character designs, Studio Easter will provide the background art, Nozaki Shintaro will be the producer of the anime, and Hayashi Yuzo will be composing the music. Studio Pierrot is charge of production.
All three projects are slated for a 2016 release.
